Lots of RPI students possess terrific ideas for developing new products or services, while others are seeking great concepts they can turn into businesses.
Idea2Business events are opportunities for students to match up and become entrepreneurial teams.
Got a “big idea” but no idea how to build a business?
You’re an idea generator.
Or...
Looking for someone with a “big idea” who needs help to take it to market?
You’re an opportunity seeker.
The Format
- A 5 minute elevator pitch! Idea generators pitch their “big idea” to opportunity seekers in a one on one setting.
Then, do it again, and again, until you’ve pitched to every opportunity seeker in the room.
- Opportunity seekers listen to an idea generator’s pitch, and another, and another, until you’ve heard every idea in the room.
Then fill out a form indicating those you believe were the best fit for you. After the event, you'll be provided with a list of potential business partners eager to get started.
The Severino Center will be there to help guide you through the process.
RSVP indicating whether you are an idea generator or an opportunity seeker. We will respond to you with a guide to either help you prepare your elevator pitch or help you be prepared to receive a pitch.
