Doctoral Program: Faculty and Research
Ph.D. students learn from research-oriented faculty members who advance business theory and practice through economics, behavioral sciences, and analytical methods.
Faculty members' research covers a wide-variety of areas including corporate finance, banking, strategic management, joint ventures, capital markets, and organizational behavior.
For instance, Professor T. Ravichandran's research focus is related to informational technology and management of technology; Professor Bill Francis focuses on issues involving initial public offerings, corporate restructurings and international finance; Professor Hao Zhao conducts research on the behavioral perspectives of organizations.
In addition, Professor Shyam Kumar emphasizes work on Strategic Management and Professor Gina O’ Connor deals with new product development.
Please note: The Rensselaer Lally School will not be accepting students into the finance and accounting Ph.D. areas for the 2013-2014 academic year.
