Tech Launch Pad
In summer 2009, the Severino Center created a new program, Tech Launch Pad (TLP), designed to power new business concepts to the next level by putting a ‘rocket booster pack’ of resources behind emerging entrepreneurs.
Tech Launch Pad is an accelerated "Entrepreneurship 101" training program. TLP explores the business development process and identifies pitfalls that entrepreneurial startups often encounter at the outset.
Students cover topics essential for venture success, such as preparing a business plan, overcoming obstacles, legal issues for start-ups, mentoring, and plan presentation strategies for approaching funders.

Practical lectures and real-world market examples will be presented by experts from the field, including leading executives, new product developers, local entrepreneurs, and ‘angel’ investors.
Students will take what they have learned in the classroom and implement it in a real-life setting on their own business concept.
Open to students of all disciplines.
Scheduled as need arises.
