Research and Publications
Prof. Gingerella’s professional background is centered in commercial banking. He has held the position of senior vice president at a number of financial institutions during his 20-year banking career. He has extensive experience with start-up ventures, market and/or capacity expansions, and merger and acquisition financing. Mr. Gingerella is an expert in funding sources/combinations in the bank loan arena, including mezzanine financing, government guaranty and/or subordinated debt, and venture capital. Mr. Gingerella maintains an active consulting practice with a focus on Credit Policy and Credit Administration.
He has written several op-ed articles on credit issues for the Hartford Courant, most recently being asked to opine on the credit rating changes for the State of Connecticut. He developed and delivered a special credit seminar in Tianjin, China for the Peoples Bank of China in 2006.
Professor Gingerella’s research interest centers on financial strategy. The utilization of computer simulation and real-time data to enhance the classroom experience is also an area of ongoing interest. |
